The No. 3 seed is out! Incredible scenes! In straight sets as well! (Excuse all the exclamation marks but let’s be honest, they are justified!) Marat is a double Grand Slam winner (US 2000, Aus 2005) but I don’t think many people expected that. This is the first time in six Grand Slams that Nole hasn’t made the semis at least. Yeah, this Nole landed on earth again.
Who else:
Ferrero (like a famous chocolate brand) is out. Fatty Nalbandian (7th) was out also. Oh nobody mentions Davydenko (4th). He was defeated by B. Becker. Maybe he knows his limitation by spending his last week playing a CLAY tournament AFTER the French Open. By the way, who is B. Becker? He was the last man to defeat A. Agassi (at US Open 2006)
Philipp Kohlschreiber (Germany) lost 0-3 against Verdasco, first round. This is a big blow for Philipp, as he was the finalist in Germany last week (l. to Federer)
Next match to watch (tomorrow): R. Nadal vs E. Gulbis. This guy was a phenomena at this year French Open. Hope that he will make Nadal eat grass.
